 2025 Minivan/Compact Truck/SUV Rules

With more than 10 cars:

 

First place $1500

Second place $750

Third place $250

 

Over 25 cars the payout will be $2500 $1000 $500

 

Less than 10 cars will default to 100% payback. 

 

 All drivers must wear long sleeves, a helmet, pants and closed toed shoes to compete. Also must use a lap belt only in the car. Eye protection is mandatory.

 

Trophies will 5ft 4ft and 3ft

 

Ethics clause:

 

Loudmouth Promotions will always uphold confidentiality between driver and promotor when regarding rule questions, registrations and all other build procedures. We understand what it is to build at this level and we will not gossip with other drivers in a distasteful manner. We feel this bias harms the sport and can put drivers at a disadvantage.

 

Strongarm clause:

 

Loudmouth Promotions will NOT be strongarmed or influenced by any driver on rules, regulations, entry fees or anything of the like. ALL drivers will conform to ALL rules at ALL times or you be disqualified from the event regardless of “status”, experience or credibility.

 

Behavior clause:

 

Drivers and their crews will demonstrate a respectful behavior toward all Loudmouth officials, and all other drivers, at all times. There will be zero tolerance for profanity, fighting, destruction of property or any other destructive behavior at any Loudmouth events. If you fail to demonstrate respectful behavior at our shows you will be asked to leave and will be banned from future Loudmouth events. This is a rule like all others and MUST be followed!!

 

Hit clock will be 30 seconds

 

Sandbagging clause:

 

Sandbagging will NOT be tolerated! You will be allowed to drive, but you will not camp in the corner and win this show! This is a rule like every rule and must be followed!

 

Team driving will not be allowed. If we see team driving we will break it up. 

 

Cars may not be decorated with profanity or hate speech. Have your number on your door or roof sign highly visible so we can distinguish drivers.

 

Officials rulings and decisions are final.

 

Cars allowed for the class is any Fwd minivan, compact truck, or Fwd SUV. No half ton or 1 ton trucks, suburbans, full size rwd vans, or passenger cars of any type. No all wheel drive vehicles. If your vehicle is 4wd you must pull the front drive shaft out. 

 

Wording definitions: 

  1. “Must”: this means “has to be”.

  2. “May”: this means you can, but if you don’t, there are no other options available unless specified. 

 

You will be allowed to add (4) spots of (4) strands of 9 wire in addition to what is allowed. This must be done before inspection. 

 

Wiring the hood is the only wiring allowed after inspection. If you run more passes of wire than what’s allowed you will be disqualified. We will count as you pull on the track. See below for specifics. 

 

Used vehicles will be allowed, and must comply to all rules. 

 

All cars will be allowed (2) 4”x4”x1/4” plates.  Must be a square shape and must not cover an area bigger than 4”x4” max.  No incorporating into suspension. You may bend/ fold/ plug weld the plate, if you cut it you throw the extra piece away. 

 

Each car will be allowed 2 fires max. 

 

No passengers will be allowed. 

 

Inspection is very important in this class, so it will be handled as such. If we can point to the rule sheet and show a violation, you will be made to make a correction.

 

Rules:

 

  1. Remove all plastic and molding before the show, this means plastic bumpers, trim, moldings, grills, etc. All airbags must be removed. 

  2. All interior parts besides the dash and front seat must be removed.

  3. Lap belts only may be used, no shoulder straps for seat belts

  4. Doors may be wired shut in 6 spots per door, drivers door may be welded in 3” on 3” off manner

  5. Drivers door must have a steel plate minimum 6” tall across, may not exceed 3” past either seam

  6. Where wiring doors, 4 strands max be used. Must be separate locations, no x mending wire. 

  7. Hoods may be wired in 3 spots per side, 3 strands max

  8. Any rim/ tire combination will be allowed. 

  9. Steering columns must be factory that came in the car 

  10. Aftermarket shifters and gas pedals will be allowed. No way of mounting these may strengthen the car. 

  11. Ecm may be moved to drivers compartment and re mounted like factory

  12. Aftermarket wiring harnesses will be allowed. 

  13. Battery may be relocated to drivers compartment and mounted on the passengers floor area, secure them good!

  14. Engines, transmissions, and driveline must all be factory, or factory replacement components that came in the car. With no modifications.

  15. Headers will be allowed. 

  16. Carb conversion will be allowed. 

  17. Engine mounts must be factory mounts that came in the car with no modifications. 

  18. Hoods must have a 12x12 hole above the engine

  19. Hoods must be open for inspection

  20. Tailgates may wired shut in 6 spots with 3 strands of wire per spot. 2 of these spots may go around rear bumper. 

  21. No sedagoning, wedging, or creasing sheet metal in any way. 

  22. Cars must have working brakes!

  23. All steering components and suspension components must be factory or factory replacement components that came in the car. With no modifications. 

  24. You may run a ratchet strap in the drivers compartment to hold on to during the competition

  25. Drivers compartment may have a 4 point floating cage made from 3”x3” material max. Dash bar, door side bars 60” long max, and rear seat bar. No down bars or kickers of any type allowed. These cage components must be mounted at least 6” from the floor. On compact trucks these side bars may not extend through the cab in any way. 

  26. Seat bar must be mounted directly behind the seat. 

  27. You may have (2) 2” max material down bars from the seat to the floor. You may weld a 3” square max plate under the down bars. 

  28. You may have a roof bar, it must be mounted to the top of the cage side bars and must be bolted to the roof with (2) pieces of 3”x3” angle 4” long and (2) 3/8” bolts. 3”x3” material max. These will not be allowed on 2 door model compact trucks. 

  29. You may have a gas tank protector made of 3”x3” material attached to your rear seat bar. This must be mounted with a 3” gap from all sheet metal. No beating or shaping sheet metal to make this happen. 

  30. Vehicles with the gas tank behind the rear axle must relocate the gas tank to the area behind the seat in the manner specified. No full size automotive gas tanks allowed. 

  31. If you do not run a 4 point cage you must run a bar behind the seat 3”x3” material max. Must be 6” off the floor. 

  32. Cage components may not extend through the firewall. 

  33. Gas lines and transmission lines must be leak proof. 

  34. If you do not mount your gas tank from your cage you must fabricate a 24” square mount max for your gas tank. Must be mounted to the floor in 4 locations with bolts. If you choose this option your gas tank mount cannot be connected to the cage. 

  35. If you do not relocate your gas tank, you must fasten the gas tank with a ratchet strap or 3 strands of 9 wire in the factory position. Ratchet strap may not come through the floor, 9 wire can come through the floor but must only be used to hold the gas tank in place. 

  36. For compact trucks you must mount the gas tank at the front, center of the box with a 24”x24” max mount. Must be bolted through the box floor with a minimum of 4 bolts. 

  37. You may swap the front bumper with a piece of 4”x6”x3/16” tubing max or a factory non stuffed passenger car bumper. No chrysler pointy bumpers allowed. Tubing may have a point 4” from the front face of the bumper spread out over a minimum of 32”. If you run a tubing bumper the ends must be capped and we must be able to verify thickness. An inspection hole must be drilled in the top of the bumper. 

  38. Front bumpers may be hard nosed to the frame. If this is done you must remove the front bumper shock and use only the bumper plate described below. 

  39. You may use a 2”x6”x1/4” piece of steel to weld to your bumper and frame to mount bumper with. 1 per side and must touch bumper. Can use on front and back.

  40. If you do not use a 2”x6” strap to mount front bumper you may weld a piece of 3”x3”x1/4” tubing to the front of the frame to mount bumper. This must be a vertical piece, strait up and down, and must not be taller than the bumper. This must be in between the frame and bumper. 

  41. You may swap your rear bumper to a piece of 2”x4” tubing max. No point allowed, must be a strait piece. Must weld in the factory position, like factory. 

  42. NO other modifications may be done to the vehicle!!
